I just got a load of 2×6-12′ delivered from a home improvement chain and noticed that the grade stamps have been planed off. There is a grade stamp stamped on the wood but you can see where an existing stamp was removed. This is the second time in my career that I have seen this. The first time I brought it to the attention of the lumber company and a rep was sent out and told me that the wood was graded wrong and that the stamp that is on the wood now is the correct one. Has anyone else ever run into this before? And besides how am I to know who to believe. Who would I contact for verification?
