I have a “in the wall” laundry box to feed and drain my washing machine. The hot and cold shut off is a single lever between the two hose thread fittings. I believe it is brass. It has a green corrosion on it and looks like heck. Any easy way to remove this corrosion with-out damaging the plastic box? Thanks for any input.

Get some "Brasso" polish. Commonly found at most stores, even in the cleaning supplies at groceries. Make sure to shake it well. Apply it then scrub with a toothbrush. If you work at it long enough it will be polished, but it will take off the green corrosion very fast.
''Brasso'' is an interesting product. In the old days those who were desperate enough would filter the polish through a slice of bread and drink the alcohol.
Brown sauce, we have a brand over here called 'HP' , is also useful for cleaning metal and I'm told that Coca Cola syrup will clean almost anything.
Coke contains the same acid that is active in Naval Jelly for rust removal

Already tried all the obvious fixes, Duh!
What Luka's trying to say is that it's a friggin' laundry shutoff, not the queen's tea service. Just wipe it down with a damp rag occasionally, to remove the detergent residue that causes the discoloration.But if you absolutely must get it clean, try toothpaste and an old toothbrush.
