I am building a stick framed free standing greenhouse and need to determine what kind of interior finish and insulation to apply to this high humidity area. I figure foam insulation over batts for moisture resistance. what kind of moisture barrier should i use. i thought about corrugated roofing for the ceiling and walls because it would be easy to clean, no piant to peel and i like the look. however what are the moisture wicking issues when attached directly to framing and could the humidity cause it to constantly be dripping on the owners head? Any thoughts on the subject would be appreciated. Thanks

When I was in MS recently, we got to shower at the YMCA and you had to walk through the pool area to get to the showers. They had corrugated metal roof/ceiling and it did drip on us. Something to consider.

ahhh nothing helps that clean, freshly showered feeling like sweat and chlorine dripping off the ceiling. I am not as concerned with the drippage as with the potential for wicking into the rafters and insulation.
Yes indeed. I thought the layout there was rather strange--you walk into a sort of alley off the street and then directly into the pool area--so cold air in winter and hot air in summer blows onto the bathers and you track whatever mud and such that is on your feet all along most of two sides of the pool and you walk past the hot tubs into the locker rooms and showers.
You are going to use redwood right? Insulating the walls? OK to do the north wall but the sides will be clear. Go to the library or book store and take a look at some designs.
Griffins, http://www.griffins.com sells all sorts of greenhouse-related stuff if this project is truly a greenhouse, i.e. a place to grow plants.
The big problem is that a building that lets as much sunlight as possible in usually lets all the heat out when the sun goes down, so they are a bear to heat. The best greenhouse glass will have a pretty low R value. They also require mechanical venting when too much heat from the sun gets in.
