Any opinions on a glued down application of an engineered wood floor? I will be installing a wood floor over 3/4″ board subfloor in my renovated attic (1930’s house). I was told that the best method was to glue the 3/8″ thick floor to the subfloor instead of nailing or floating the floor.

yes..there is a photo in the thread "works in progress" of just that..use a polyurethane glue.

*Most 3/8ths-inch engineered wood flooring is designed to either be glued down or to float by one of several methods.For gluing directly to the clean subfloor, some manufacturers require a proprietary glue for warranty purposes. Check that out if you're interested. You may want to roll the floor in sections as you proceed. Every little bit helps.I'm sure you've already checked the flex in the 3/4 subfloor. If not stiff enough, another layer of ply screwed 8" oc will help. Offset the seams.
