Someone wass telling me that he bought these little clamps/hangers that allow one person to hang hardi-board, and that his production has doubled. Anyone know where I can find these things, and are they worth getting? I think I saw an advertisement in FHB for them once, but I can’t seem to find it again.

I'd recommend one "hanger" and the gauge block, it makes it a lot easier to do it by yourself, though my own personal opinion is that cement siding is more efficent with two people, and ideally 3, one to cut, two to hang

I used these on my house and they worked as advertised. After I finished siding the house, I sold them on Amazon and got most of my money back.
Their is also these which are similar. http://www.thelaborsaver.com/
I just bent a squared-off "S" hook of sorts out of aluminum strip. Ya gotta remember to remove it before fastening too close, of course.
happy?
Funny, I just ordered the malco FCG2 ones (two clamps) from Amazon for $19.99. free shipping on qualifying orders over $25, so I had to get more stuff to qualify. No problem there. Haven't got them yet. I thought about getting the FCMS (1 clamp and facing gauge) which is now the same price as the FCG2, last week it was 24.99.
The Malco ones work great. I did my house with these and if you start
straight they will keep you straight all the way to the top.
They are cheaper than any others also.
Go to Amazon. I've been on a large Hardi Plank job now for the past month and we both have the spacers & hangers. It's one great tool and saves you mucho time.
Do you have cement board electric shears? Get them. Amazon.
