My crew and myself are very good trim carpenters, but have no experience with siding. I have been asked to bid replacing masonite lap siding with hardie plank lap siding on several houses. Can someone tell me if there is a going rate? I’ve heard of charging by the square. How much per square, and what exactly is a square when it comes to 6″ X 16′ lap siding. Any help will be appreciated.
