Hi. I am redoing the tile around a bath/shower combo. I also put a new glass block window in the wall beside the tub. I installed the window so it will be flush to the Hardiebacker, then bull-nosed tile will surround it and not leave much of a lip (hopefully). On the Hardiebacker website, I can’t find info on how to cut around that new window. Should I leave 1/8″ gap, like between sheets of Hardiebacker? If so, should I fill that gap with silicone caulk? Should I leave a bigger 1/4″ gap, as between Hardibacker and tub, also filling with caulk? Or should I just butt the Hardibacker right up to the window? Thanks for your advice.
