I have a customer who would like some kitchen cabinets built, this customer has some concerns about indoor air quailty (IAQ), and multiple chemical sensitivities (MCS), I am looking for products to use to build these cabinets.
They may consider solid wood for the doors, rails and stiles, they have concerns about the finishing of these parts. I thank you now for all your suggestions. Any web sites with information would be appericated.

Livos makes a line of products which are non-toxic and pretty much natural. They have clear finishes for wood and semi-gloss paints. Bio-shield sold by Eco-design in Santa Fe also has a similar line of products. For materials, most any high-quality multi-ply cabinet grade plywood will be non-toxic and as inoffensive as wood can be.

Metro in Portland, Oregon puts out a booklet called the "Guide to Recycled Products - Building and Construction Products" which I have found most helpful. Most of the information is geared towards the Portland area but you get the phone numbers and addresses of organizations so you can do your own research. Write to:
Metro
600 NE Grand Avenue
Portland, OR 97232
or call
(503)797-1650
The booklet was free when I got mine. Good luck! It's good to see both interest and production of non-toxic products.
