The extent of my HVAC knowledge is to call my local sub and have him do it. I had a customer want to know and I was just wondering thats all.
Heat pump will have a reversing valve, ya gotta be able to look inside to see it sometimes, but often can see it thru the grill on the top.
It's a about 1-3/4 dia tube 8 " long with a couple of wires to it and a bunch of 3/4 inch tubes coming out the side of the big tube.
You can also tell by the part number, everybody is different.
Just look the P/N up on the web unless it's and old unit, then sol.
