I have a Heater/Stove I brought back from Switzerland. Does anyone know where I can get some information on what is is worth? It has been sitting in the garage for 20 years and time to clean house.
I have other pics on my myspace @ http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewPicture&friendID=118085594&albumId=2206040
Thanks
Tim

Wow! that's cool looking. Is it enemeled cast iron? Does it burn coal? wood? swiss cheese?
A Kacheloven is what you have, I believe. Most I have seen are masonry/ceramic, but I have heard of steel/iron ones. Usually built into a house, of masonry, with a very circuitous route for smoke/heat, they are the evolved Northern European woodstove of the civilized masses. Highly efficient.
I used to read about them in the early 70's in the back to the land, Whole Earth type publications as the absolute best way to heat with wood. I don't know why they never caught on.

There is a guy I bought some stuff from that collects and restores stoves.
So there is a market for them. His were more like a big pot belly stove.
$1.50.
I'll pick up the shipping.
Will pm address.
I'd be interested in swapping a similar stove ( but I get the feeling you don't need or want one) or buyng it when you land a number..labor trade? or what?
I have a homemade tall burner about the same size, but, w/o the ornamantation...6'' flue.
I'm offering 500.00 for what you have, just guessing. Gimme 250 for my trade?
