I’m finally getting around to putting the finishing touches on the little lady’s dining room, and she’s decided she wants a picture rail instead of chair rail as a trim detail. Anyone do much of this? The room has an 8′ ceiling, 3-5/8″ crown, and 5″ base. So far all I’ve been able to turn up is a reference in tauntons trim book that says something like “just beneath the crown moulding”. I’m hoping to do this tomorrow, so any advice will be greatly appreciated.
