help doing rough plumbing for kitchen sink
Guys-
the attached two photos show a (crappy) kitchen sink rough in. I blew it and did not make the horizontal vent at 42″ above the rough floor, which is what the inspector said it should be (I guess to keep a backed up sink from backing up into the vent ?) The inspector really did not care and signed it off anyways, but I want to re do it correctly and raise the horizontal run to 42″. So, while I am doing that, I think I need to lower the rough in drain height, now it is 17.5″, should it be 12″ ?
Also, I centered the drain on the window (and sink) which was probably a mistake, (the stud to the right of the sanitary tee is the window/sink center) I should have centered the drain on the sink bowl side opposite of the bowl housing the garbage disposal. So, rather than re do where it attaches under the raised foundation crawlspace, how would you connect the drain to below floor drain, just put 45’s in there until it lines up ?
thanks,
Kirk

A lower drain height would certainly be better, but 12 inches might be too low. I measured 5 inches on my cabinet bases and about 5.5 inches height on the p-trap, so I would probably not go below 13 or 14 if possible.
