Hi. We made the mistake of installing pre-finished light wood floors several years ago and now they are scratched, and cracked due to brief exposure to an overflowed toilet. We’d like to stain them a darker color and put a glossier finish on them so they are easier to keep clean. Does any one know to what extent pre-finished floors can be redone? Thanks.

Source control, ventilation, and filtration are the keys to healthy indoor air quality. Dehumidification is important too.

Need to tell us what kind of floors they are. Enginered, if so how thick is the wear layer. If solid, do they have relieved edges , etc,etc....
