Gosh! It’s 103 and HOT! What is the best way to insulate concrete block walls on a 35 year old house? The walls are empty hollow block. Can I knock a hole at the top of each cavity and fill with vermiculite? (If this is a way, what is the best way to do it?) Is there something else more hi-tech (foam, etc) that would do a better job. I do not want to add studs inside and insulate with fiberglass nor put “styrofoam” and stucco on the outside.

gary,
The people who can answer your question won't find it here. Go to the top of this page where it says:
> Current location: Breaktime- Fine Homebuilding discussion About Breaktime: Help Using, Ideas for Improving (2) Posting a message Help Insulating Concrete Block Walls
Click on the "Breaktime-Fine Homebuilding discussion". When that page loads, click on the "Energy: Heating, Insulating, & Venting a House" link (it's the fifth link in the list). When that page loads, click on the "Add Discussion" button. Fill out the title and the question and then click the "Add Discussion" title at the bottom.
