Is there any legal way to terminate a hot circuit in a wall other than in an accessible box? I pulled out an old circuit in the MB that had several hidden box and hidden splices. Then ran a new feed to continue on to what remained on the old circuit. And ran completely new cicuit and new outlets in the MB. As I pulled out the old cable from the basement I found an other hidden splice and cable that ran up the outside wall in the MB. My guess was that it feed an old outside light or something. That cable was cut and after wiring in the new feed everything that had been on the old circuit worked. After the drywall was stripped on that wall I finished remove the old stuff and found that cable was hot. There was another outlet in the MB on the old circuit that I did not try to replace as there was no easy access to the feeds. I opened that box and found that it feeds one of 3 banks of lights in the new living room and then comes back to this cable that was in the wall. Unless I missed something in the 3 hidden splices and the hidden box they had this wired in a loop. That is why everything still worked after I removed the “feed” to that cable. Going up to the attic to remove the alternate feed to that cable is not easy as it require disaseblying some siding and putting up sacfolding.

I figured what I am going to do.
There is enough cable left that I an going to mount a box near the floor and put on a blank cover plate. It is in the corner and will never be noticed.
After digging out as many of these hidden boxes or splices as possible I would have done the same thing. A well done box and blank plate need not be an eyesore and can be painted to match the wall or selected to go with the decor.
Another friend of mine made a suggestion that could have worked. And that was to terminate the wires in a box and then continue the new run into that box and add an outlet.
If I had though about it in adance that would have worked. However by this time I had already cut the wire off too short so it has to be in the corner of the room and I already have an outlet 3 ft away and I am way too tired working on this thing to restructure the whole wall to respace the outlets.
