I’m doing home repairs, minor renovations, trim carp, ect… in the raleigh nc area. I started about 3.5 years ago. Trying to do above avarage work at a fair price. Problem is, I’m getting more request than I can handle now. I’ve been turning away new customers, but now I’m having a hard time even keeping up with my repeat clients.
Anyone have someone they would recomend to sub some work to?

If you can help it, you do not want to lose the old customers. And, you don't want to lose there referrals. It has taken me years to make a reputation. I'll move things around to take care of the repeats. Further problem, you shouldn't lose the good new ones either.
I have one friend that I have no qualms about referring some of my work if I think he can handle it. I also know that if it's a current customer of mine, he won't try to replace me as first on their list.
What I try to do is explain the wait to the customer and see if they're willing to take a place on the list. Most of the repeats don't have a problem with that. The referrals I get usually have no problem waiting as they are pretty much sure they want me to do their work. The new ones? Well I'll take a look at their job and if it's something I really get excited about I'll try to fit them in somewhere or try to entice them to wait on the project.
