Saw your pad on HGTV last night. I missed the begining though. It looked great. Your little daughter is cute too.

Thanks. That's about the 5th rerun of it. It was filmed 2 years ago--she looks a bunch older now (my daughter, not the house). I knew the show was on only be/c of some email from old friends. Every time it comes on I discover a new long-lost friend!
I`ve yet to see it....should you get a heads up in the future, coulda be a pal and drop me an email? I`d much apreciate it.J. D. Reynolds

This show first broadcast this spring I think. DW was so excited about it she chose to watch Survivor that night instead. :) I know the guy who did the plate steel house a little...he also had a FHB back cover and was in a book with us. And the one they call the Earthquake House (I think) is some great cedar shake work. A few are kinda off the deep end. Our segment was decent...it's on right around the half-hour mark.
With titles like these, you might imagine why appearing in FHB was such a thrill, and a sign of normalcy! While the publicity is good for exposing people to our lil' sub-industry, I'm very happy to have escaped the "extreme" and "outrageous" labels. Forever grateful to Taunton for their mellow text accompanying the pix.
Tried to find a listing for the show on HGTV Canada with no luck. I've got a dvd recorder, which allows me to burn dvd's off television. If I find the show, I can make you a dvd if you like.

I actually saw that show a while back. I had no idea it was a members house. Congrats!
Hey, we did one for "Before and After" on HGTV episode #112. I went through my entire beauty regiment for my close ups and sure future as star of stage, screen and TV, but only appeared on camera 20 to 30 seconds. (My best and most dramatic work, left on the cutting room floor). I called Mathews, the producer, about my lack of exposure and he told me, "Unfortunately, I had a face for radio". Show business can be a cruel and heartless mistress.Never serious, but always right
Hey, I saw that show and house! Didn't know it was yours. Very neat and interesting to see and I bet to live in.
Looking forward to seeing it again next time so to pay better attention to the details.
Why didn't I think it may be yours when they showed it?
Good exposure for such houses, it really showcased it.
Well I'd sure like to see that tape, I didn't even know there was one going around. Who did you send it to, Luka?
Hey Cloud, what issue of FHB was the house in?
The tape was about 2 years old now, had a list of 9 people with the labels all printed and sequenced, and got lost for good somewhere around #3 or #4. Won't mention names to protect those fine people who might still be here, but like so many of us, don't follow printed instructions well! The FHB issue is Aug/Sep 2003, back cover.
Protect them hell.
Whoever you are, send the tape along so we all can see it!
"Aug Sept '03"? Must have been one of those with the tip on the jacket. Must be right there on my speaker...er...I mean nightstand. Thanks.
I'm not gonna call whoever is bogarting that tape a dirtbag, I just hope they send it around.
I'll make another copy of the shows for you, and then maybe you can forward it to Beckman.
"I'll make another copy of the shows for you, and then maybe you can forward it to Beckman."
Sounds great to me. I'll will be happy to forward it along to someone else, and I promise it won't take two years!

I thought I was number 3 or 4 on the list ??
I got the tape. Watched it. Gave you an email about it. Then forgot to send it out.
After one or two weeks, you reminded me. I felt terrible. I packed it up, put the next label on it, and sent it out right away.
I did.
Immediately after your reminder !

I could've sworn I was #3 or 4 on the list.
I was afraid that it had gotten lost in the mail, and I was to be blamed.
Maybe that is what happened when it did disappear.

Yeah, you betcha, I'll send it along. I promise. I'd even be willing to wait until the original list sees it first, Jim. Please?
I did look at the back cover of that issue - nice photos, great looking house. Can't wait to see the video, man. You got my address?

What ever happened to the tape of the show that was supposedly making the rounds? I thought I was on the list, but it never made it to me. I've upped my standards, now up yours.
Where's the list? Or if anybody hears there's to be a rebroadcast, I do have friends with cable.PAHS Designer/Builder- Bury it!
If there is a list, please add me.

Sorry guys. I didn't know till 10:18 that it had started at 10. They don't tell me and I don't go looking. We did have a video making the rounds, and one of the people musta just never sent it along. I spent months tracking it down and shushing it along and then lost track. Might be a whole new something coming up after the turn of the year.
Ok guys, who's the slacker ???
: )
I was on the list. I actualy got the tape, and watched it, then sent it along...
A good heart embiggins even the smallest person.

The answer is obvious to that question.....LUKA!
And he meant video.... not duct...
Who ever invented work didn't know how to fish....
Do you have another project being taped after the new year?
We'll see what happens when it happens. Lot's of people talk about lots of things and not everyone follows up. I'm only mentioning it so that people who missed this show and are interested, might have other, and easier, chances to see something.
I would be in favor of trying another tape of the last show. Maybe this time there should be a thread where each poster reports "I've got it" "I've sent it to....."
Sounds like there are still a lot of folks here who would like to participate.
