I would appreciate any information or hints on how to conceal a television with a motorized picture frame. I would like to be able to raise and lower a framed painting by remote and have it hide the T.V. Are there any commercially available track/hardware systems for this type of application?
Any tips would be great…

I once saw where a guy had put his TV behind a one way mirror so you couldn't see it. Never heard of hiding behind a painting, though.
Could you adapt one of those motorized lifts that brings a TV up out of a cabinet ?
*Don,I don't know of any such hardware off the rack either.I worked a job one time where they took the hardware and motor from an auto electric window closer and revamped it into a remote controll door opening gizmo. The lady of the house wanted a small remote controll door that opened level with her kitchen countertop from the garage side so she could set her groceries in the kitchen from the garage without having to carry them in the house, down the hall and around the corner. She wasn't lazy, just getting on in years and very wealthy. I wasn't involved in the fabricating of the thing, but I kept up with it while it was in the works, and it turned out beautiful. It would take a little squeezing of the brain, but I bet you could make that work in your situation. However, as with all things like this, cost cannot be an issue.Good luck,Ed.
*Try to get a Hafele catalog (1-800-423-3531). They have more slides, pulls, hooks, brackers, etc than anywhere I've seen. The catalog is 1000 pages or so and fun to browse. I looked awhile and didn't see exactly what you ask for, but several things might be part of the solution.Jim
*Here's a company that supplies the motorized hardware, you do the rest. AUTONhttp://www.auton.com/
*Here's the page that fits your needs to a "T".AND, it's ONLY $5,299.00http://www.auton.com/content/mediainfo.html
*Ralph,Nice work finding that one. My cap's off to you. I'm gonna bookmark that company.Thanks,Ed.
*Thanks Ed.I've had that company bookmarked for years just in case I run across a gadget junkie customer with lots of disposable cash. So far, the $299.00 entertainment center from Sears is about as far as most are willing to go.
*Ah.....Good old Sears Roebuck.....I'd be naked without them. I got my first tools on the Sears Revolving Charge. God Bless 'em.Ed.
