I’ve gotten several calls recently from a number of my high-end homebuilder clients looking for strong full-time carpenters/craftsmen.
Two of the calls were for gifted Finish Carpenters and the others wanted an overall comfort with Rough and Finish Carpentry.
In short, if you’re a craftsmen with solid references and a history of excellent work, you should give me a call. I can put you in touch with some of the region’s most highly regarded builders, on some truly top-shelf projects.
Give me a call or drop a line to: Brian Roberts [email protected] or 617.422.0888.

Hmmmm.....they or immigration? have any problems with Canajans working for them? If I'm considered a specialized carpenter, how easy is it to work south of here? Cheers,Phil. If it is to be, 'twil be done by me..
...P.S., I've done Jet Aircraft interiors, Boatbuilding, Cabinetry and Custom Furniture, all at high level, always with happy REPEAT customers...More cheers,Phil...( Tis the season...)If it is to be, 'twil be done by me..
Phil, too funny. Nah, all these guys are above board... was just joshin' ya. Sounds like you've done just about everything, though. I was just up in Quebec City over Turkey Day. Beautiful area. Was surprised at how flat it is up there.
In answer to your question... things are still getting built where I am. Everyone has definitely felt the slowdown in the last 6 months or so, but no sense of desperation yet. On the recruiting side, we're still having trouble finding good leads, supers etc. Development (big buildings especially) has ground to a halt. Very little new going into the ground, and most of the developers I know are holding on to there cash. Lot's of work being finished up, though, so still lots of guys working.

Not sure how to answer, Jeff, or if I understand your concern. I run a small remodeling company, and recently have been working with an old colleague at his recruiting firm, too. In the recruiting, I get paid a "finder's fee" if I can track down someone good for one of my clients (mostly high-end builders). So... both are true. Yes I get paid, and yes, my clients are usually guys I know pretty well. Is this off limits? If so, sorry. What's the difference if a GC posts looking for Lead Carps v. me posting? If all goes well, everyone wins in either case.
