My DeWalt died recently and I have been looking at the Hitachi KC18DDL combo. ($290 at Tyler)
It includes their DS18DL Driver/Drill and their WH18DL Impact Driver.
Anyone have experience with these tools? Pro/Cons?
Thanks.

Wow, nobody uses Hitachi Li-ion drivers?
If you live where it gets close to freezing and below, then you had better have a backup for the Li-Ion battery powered tools.
They just don't work.
Thanks. That's what I have heard from others with Li-ion tools. I don't anticipate using them in freezing temps, so it's probably not an issue for me.
I'm most concerned with durability as I have had it with DeWalt. Too many dead batteries and chewed up plastic parts. Of course, others I have talked to have had no problems.
Well, I can't help with specific questions on Hitachi tools.
Best of luck.
Just an update for the archives...
I bought the Hitachi KC18DDL combo and love both drivers. Great power, nice ergonomics, reasonable weight.
The motors don't whine like the Makitas either, so that's a plus.
