Hooking up Gas Fireplace question
I’m having a Gas Fireplace installed this week and was wondering if any of you know the restriction on how close an electrical outlet can be to the fireplace?
Thanks!

There is nothing in the electrical code covering this.
And I am not sure, but I doubt that their is anything in the gas code either.
It is common to have receptacle near gas connections such as for stoves and dryers.
The only limitation I would now if is that i would not one in any area that you can't have combustable material as you don't want the direct heat from the near the receptacle.
.
A-holes. Hey every group has to have one. And I have been elected to be the one. I should make that my tagline.
