Plumbing question…
is there a hot water shower/bath faucet that has a setscrew or lockin adjustment that will prevent a person from turning the hot water on to an excessive degree. I have a retarded older brother who takes extremely hot showers and no amount of correcting or teaching has been able to make him change. Currently someone goes up everyday and checks the shower temp for him. Thanks

Yes, many of the pressure balance shower faucets have "range" limit on them. Not that it limits the percentage of hot water in the mix, not the tempature as such.
There are some that do have turn tempature control and I am guessing that you can set a limit, but they are fairly expensive.
Other options are to lower the water tempature from the WH. Places like schools and nursing homes don't have very hot water and use suplimentry WH for places like the kitchen.
Another option would be to insall a mixing valve on the supply to that shower. They are thermostatically controlled and limit the temp of the hot water.
Also you can get an anti-scald shower head (or it might be an adapter that threads in front of the shower head). It has a thermostatic valve that just shuts off the water if it is too hot.
