Hello!
Can anyone recommend a descent program or online site to help design a house? We would like to build in the next 5 years or so, but I would like to start designing now, so we’re not rushed later on.

They have a full range of prices and features, from the $59 BH&G Home Designer 7.0 to the $2195 Chief Architect Full Version 10.
The consumer version of Chief Architect was previously Broderbund 3DHomeArchitect, but now it's in the hands of Better Homes and Gardens software. I got it at version 2 when it was Broderbund's and have been upgrading ever since. Now I've got Home Designer Professional 6.0 ($500). I have found the UI very intuitive, and the software more than adequate for my needs.
