I prefer Typar....holds up well and it's easier on the eyes than that slick white stuff.
The worst is the Pink Wrap. (Has little longevity before it's covered).
Of course, good old felt is time proven.
Felt Paper, returned to it after using a bunch of the rest for yrs.
Do you have your framers install it? Do they charge extra?
Small jobs I install myself, otherwise I negotiare between the framers and siders to see who will do it. Cost varies a lot depending the building.
Sounds like our jobs are somewhat similar in that I think we are both superintendents, but are still physically involved with the construction of the homes. I wouldn't ever wrap a whole house myself, but woud definately do a small area, or do some wrap repairs just to make for a higher quality product and to keep progress moving forward.
Lots of ideas, many religious in nature. You can start some darn good arguments on this subject.
I use Dow Styrofoam "blue" housewrap. It is really strong and feels thick.
I don't build new homes, only retrofit, remodel, repair,,,,,,so I only use felt.
