how 2build concrete steps w brick edge
hope i can make clear my idea. i want to pour a half round 3 step porch approx 8′ wide and out about 6′.to start with i’m planing on pinning into the foundation, unsure of a flashing detail where it comes up agianst the house, form it up and pour it a one time. i would like for the riser area to be coverd with brick running vertically. how do you do this, just run the tread extra wide and lay the brick later.or can you place the brick along the edge of the form and pour against it. give me some ideas as i have never done this project before. thanks larry
hand me the chainsaw, i need to trim the casing just a hair.

I think that you can do it the way that you suggest. Put backer rod between the brick next to the formto keep the concrete from filling all the way . This will leave a gap for you to tuckpoint after . Also make sure that you seal the top of the bricksto keep the concrete from leaking down the face of the brick.
i had to replace concrete on a brick porch(s) (duplex). before i destroyed it the porch was laid first with irons bridging the risers. I lost the risers and put faux brix on them in the end. couldnt tell. those irons had to cost as much as the concrete. masons and concrete guys should have more meetings.
