Listeners write in about haunted pipes and building-science tomes, and they ask questions about roof venting and roof leaks.

I saw that. I dunno tho' , like many multi tools, they don't do either job as well as a dedicated function tool will, but for some it may just be the ticket.

I was thinking it would be great for doing hardwood flooring.

I agree, it would. I believe that is what it said in JLC in the ad I saw.
Lucky for me, I don't do much of that..<G>Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

canadian tire has come out with a similiar product under their mastercraft brand.
only saw it in the box, but it's on a stand, and flips/rotates from one function to the other.
$400, but it was on sale half price.
seems like one of those things that would be cool for a friend to own.

how does the second one work?
over all I wouldn't like it too small of tables
If you wanted to rip then cross cut it would be annoying because one would be too hight and the other too low
just my 2 cents
Ductape can fix EVERYTHING!!!
Look for the pivot point at the ends of the fence. The saw locks down and then you pivot the mitre saw upside down and then what was the underside becomes the table saw. Neat but alot of money compared with state side prices.
Now, what American laws do you think are keeping those from being sold here? I have never understood why popular tool companies sell only certain tools on only certain continents.gk
Different approach to the mitering, but I thought this looked pretty serviceable. Plus, you get LOTS of cast iron.

I don't know what stops this saw coming here I do have a version made by Stayer and its very useful.

Wow! Two ways for me to loose a finger - IN THE SAME TOOL!

40 kg. that is an 88# saw. Makes my 60# Bosch TS seem light.I use a Dewalt mini TS fairly often now, it weighs just 45#.The combosaws might be handy for some people though.
Apparently Festool will be releasing a version of their own.
Nah. It'll never catch on. Why buy one tool that can do two things when you could have two separate tools? More tools good. Less tools bad.

You wont see mr driving around in that little white van, I doubt it would carry more then 2 sq of comp before it would bottom out
I cant imagine a situation where i'd be happy to see that tool.
It looks like the award winner for "most cumbersome tool". I cant imagine trying to set the tilt on my saw with a tablesaw on top of it.
I dont know that i'd want to be seen with it either.

Kinda like sex in prison. Might do in a pinch, but you'd probably like to forget it as soon as it was over.

that'd be handy for cab installs ripping down the occasional filler.
flooring too ... but I just cross cut with the little table saw and skip the miter saw.
