Tried searching for how to do a diamond pattern in cedar shingles. Roe Osborne provided a answer that I can access by becoming a member for only x dollars a year.
How bogus is this? I have subscribed to this mag for over 20 years, and now they want money for something that appeared in it. I don’t know how to find RO’s response. Any help?
Or better yet. Can someone simply explain the procedure to me?

dang Tom, looks like yer right.
I can't find the old search feature anywhere? Am I blind and it moved somewhere or is it that one must now be a paying online subscriber to view the index?
Anyone know?
be thanks

Since you’re a subscriber to the magazine (thank you for that, by the way), the “x” you refer to is $19.95 a year, or roughly the cost of taking a client or supplier to lunch. Our video library alone is worth the subscription, but I’m biased, of course, since I work on the site. The index is still available here: http://www.taunton.com/cgi-bin/artresult-fh.cgi, but if you’ve got your FHB collection handy, check out issue #121; you’ll find Roe’s technique there.
Not using the index page often I have a hard time locating it each time I go looking for it.
Where is the tab link located to open that index page?
Thanks

If you click on the Magazine tab at the top (right next to Breaktime), you'll see the index link under the heading "About the Magazine." That should do it.
well ya duh.
thanks again.I intend to build me a house which will surpass any on the main street in Concord in grandeur and luxury, as soon as it pleases me as much and will cost me no more than my present one.-Thoreau's Walden
Thank you, I have it, I read it, and it couldn't be clearer. I still think the index should be more readily available.
- Out of curiousity----does the "Search" dealy mean I could access every FHB article ever publishes----and does FWW have a similar deal ?
