I need to heat a tented space outdoors for construction. The space is about 750 cu ft covered with a tarp with about 5 sq ft of openings to the outside (I can’t enclose it perfectly). The outside temp is 32F and I need to raise temp to 50F. The location is pretty well sheltered so there won’t be much wind coming in.
Given this information is it possible to estimate how large of a propane heater I need to rent to heat this space?

No - noit with an opening
CCurious - what is it you need specifically 50° for?
if painting. the moisture from propane will impede the quality

Yes for painting. Using SW Superpaint (OK down to 35F) but chose 50F for margin.
I did wonder about moisture from propane combustion. I'll look for electric or IR I guess.
Sorry, but you gotta hire an HVAC guy to run the formulas, just like anyone else. ;)
(Is this attached to a building or stand-alone? In sun or shade? To maintain 50F when ambient is 32 generally requires virtually no heat if there's sun, or if the area shares a wall with a building.)
Shade since I need it warm at night to cure paint. Shares a wall but the wall is insulated.
If you capture the heat during the day, and the outside temp never drops below 32, I'd bet the inside temp stays well into the 40s, if you can close the openings, 40ish if not.
If your view never changes you're following the wrong leader
Really? OK. Thanks. I have an electric space heater that I can use to supplement the heat during the night.
