Listeners write in about haunted pipes and building-science tomes, and they ask questions about roof venting and roof leaks.

thousands
In the past year? If you could average high at 25 working days in a month, thats 300 days in a year. 3 homes a day would give you 900 homes in a year. Thousands would mean 2000 or more, so at 300 working days a year you would need to work on an average of 6.67 homes per day. When do you have time for the wife and BT?
: - ) Just giving you a hard time.

He stays up late at night?

As Tim Holt told Walter Huston in The Treasure of Sierra Madre, "the worst ain't so bad when it finally happens."
Maybe he does not sleep, carries an internet ready wireless equipped laptop for BT and his wife spends time with him on the job.
6.67 homes per day.....maybe he does it...afterall he is the Piffin a true leader amongst the BT Superfriends.
Tex, Give Pffin the benefit of doubt. He may have meant something else. How 'bout Toll Brothers per day? When are you going to do a new thread? How's that new scooter?Chuck Slive, work, build, ...better with wood
He could have done it, but I was thinking he missed the "in the last year' detail.
Mostly I was just joking.
When are you going to do a new thread?
I had "New Home Texas Style" going, but really I am too busy to carry on, as the legendary Mike Smith has done with Adverse Conditions.
We are framed, roofed, painted outside, starting stucco and moving from mechanical to insulation and drywall. I may add some pics soon.
How's that new scooter?
Getting a good workout lately, the weather has been perfect. I have used it on a few occasions to check projects.
I didn't catch thaT LAST PHRASE last year.My answer chosen of the four still stands though. I've personally done sizeable work on fourteen ( I ran out of fingers to count on so it's a good thing I have my shoes off) this past year and have probably done misc minor things for several more

It's because of his screw factory. Every house that has Piffin screws in it counts. ;-)

Forget the primal scream, just ROAR!!!
I've probably worked on more than 10 houses over a period of a couple of months.
But I kind of specialize in small jobs the big contractors don't want to touch.
How many houses have you worked on
Stopping there in the verbage, I think in December 1965 I worked on at least 5 houses per day (installing TV antennas), maybe even averaged over 6.67 per day during the week before Christmas.
I was remembering times like that with my first reply. When starting out in The trades, the roofing crew I learned from would shingle a minimum of two homes a day. I'm quite sure that I climbed up ontoi at least a thousand houses in the first three years of my career.

Worked on average 4 to 8 homes per week. Rails, stairs, hardwood repairs.
May neighbors respect You, and troubles neglect You.

Anything ever become of these polls?
I'd love to know where you're going with this one.
