How many times do you give bids to home owners who never communicate with you after the bid is in?
It seems to me that lately all I have been doing is driving all over hell and creation to LOOK at jobs. After I give the client a price, though,I don’t seem to get any feedback in at least 30% of cases. I give at least 2 follow-up calls to all of them, but many times am forced to just leave a message.
When I was a hard-core salesman I would have qualified these people up front. If they weren’t ready or didn’t have the money, I didn’t waste my time. In this business, though “FREE ESTIMATES” are the norm and people don’t want to answer too many questions beforehand. If you don’t rush over to look at their job, they will just call the next guy. In most cases they have already called 10 other contractors, which just makes the whole process an exercise in frustration.
How do you guys cut down on this kinda crap?
