hey ,,,,,,,,,,,I said no fat jokes
and my wife gives me enough flax for that,
A rough figure is 40# per cubic foot.
nice quote
so does that mean cubic foot of load
does not help much
Id have to pile it first, seems like an exta step
surely someone knows
Well, you can roughly guess how things will satck up. Like if you have a stack of plywood that's 1' deep, 4' X 8' X 40# gets you 1,280#.Another rough number is 1/2" ply is about 50# per sheet.
The older you get, the tougher it is to lose weight. By then your body and your fat have gotten to be really good friends.
Do you have the JLC Field Guide??? If so, check out p. 115, they have a list of weights for various building materials. But if you dont, from taking from their fig 2-22:
4x8 3/4 t&g ply=73.6 lbs
kd 2x6x8'=
7/16 osb=48 lbs ( this is for 1/2 ply, not 7/16 osb)
hardie= nothing listed, but cement backer board is 3.5lbs/sq ft.
I would think that local supply house would know the weights.

I found how to calculate toe weight of lumber of various species at different moisture contents at woodweb.com. It was in a dissusioon room but I do not know where, but the site is worth surfing around.
