May seem a silly question or be somehow obvious to some … but I can’t seem to find a way to save the url (web address) to a good discussion thread here. When one clicks on different discussions to open them to view, the address at the top of the page does not change. How does one find and save an address from here which would bring one back to the specific discussion that one is reading?
Again … sorry if it’s obvious .. it really is not to me!
Thanks –
Terry

Either open in a new window and copy/paste the now visible "address".
Or look to the right, the number up there in the corner when clicked on will show the address for you.
Or, there's a Subscribe envelope up there too. That will get you notified of discussion progress I think. Maybe they email you when anyone posts to it. Not sure, give it a try.

Click on thje message number in the upper right corner of the message you wnat to have show in the browser url window.
OK - I'm good with that - I've got a dozen or so threads saved in a sub-folder in 'favorites' -
but which thread is which? I haven't been able to retitle the address to reflect what is in the thread -
any suggestions?

David,Go to "manage bookmarks".Scroll down to the bookmark you want to edit.Right click on the bookmark. Choose "properties".In there, you have "Name" and "location".Change the name to whatever you want. Leave the location field alone.Hit the "ok" button.

Hey ... thanks everyone.
much appreciated.

I just "rate my interest" in a thread as high. Then I can view all at once under "show discussions / high interest" function. Its easy to see if you have any new discussion in the thread and it will save them forever. When I get over 50, I go through and delete the ones I'm not interested in anymore.

You don't even have to do that.
Just select Show discussions: "that I have recently seen"
Works for me.
If you look ing the upper right hand corner of a post, there should be a post# there. In the case of this thread, it's 66833.1.
If you right-click on that post# you should have an option for "Copy Link Location". (It may vary, depending on your browser)
Then you can paste that URL into any document that accepts text.
