How to separate ground and neutral?
I purchased a 125A subpanel (square D) for the house I am building. It is very similar to the main panel minus the main breaker. However, this panel has both bars connected by the plate at the top. How do I separate ground and neutral? I have a neutral kit that I can use to bring the nuetral into one side only. The other side can be bonded to the box with a screw provided, and I could bring the ground into the lug for that side. I am tempted to saw the cross bar in half to separate. Any advice?

what you have is one large Neutral bar...
SqD ground bars..... which should be in plastic bag.... are attached by two screws near the side of the panel. look carefully, you will see a stamped ground symbol and two holes where the ground bar needs to go

If its a subpanel, the bonding bar should be removeable. At least thats what i've seen in the past.
When bonding bar is removed there is very little holding the distribution bars in place. I'll ask my supplier if he has separate ground bars I can add on. If not, I'll try relocating one of the existing ones.
is this a Homeline panel? look inside the cover there is also a graphical representation of that split neutral....... the factory never bonds the ground and neutral....
