I need to set some epoxy-coated rebar in a bricked porch with hydraulic cement. We use the projecting bars inside a 1-1/4″ sq. aluminum post filled with more hydraulic cement to anchor a metal railing system.
I know hydraulic cement sets quickly (which is one reason we use it for these posts), but it’s well below freezing now, and will be for at least the next week.
Other than maybe using warm water, is there any reason not to do this in sub-freezing weather ?
