I am starting the process of building a new house. It is going to be Timber frame and approximately 2400square feet. We are planning to go with radiant floor heat and have been planning to use gyp-crete on the first floor and baseboard on the second floor, but I have recently become very interested in some of the other in floor systems such as warmboard.
I have been trying to locate someone nearby who has used a product like this. Seems like it would be a lot easier to install than pouring for someone who is going to do it themselves. I am also thinking of installing wood floors, and my wife wants Douglas fir. It seems like a non-concrete floor system would be more compatible with true wood floors.
I would appreciate any feedback regarding all type of radiant floor heat or baseboard, concrete or non concrete.
