and it gets worse as the week goes on..

The water was turned on in the new house today... if aliens came done and picked up the plumber and I never saw him again...I would be happy.
Are you saying the unmentionable?
Like leaks in new plumbing?
be depressed"Live Free, not Die"
Yes, and the one that really gets me is the hand held shower attachment in the Jacuzzi it is really hard to get at and leaks where it attaches to the taps. I emailed the plumber and haven't heard back from him maybe my wish came true. I usually insist on a pressure test, next time I will for sure.
Small price to pay for the joy of home ownership.
Just something else in the long list of 'to deal withs'.
Could be worse.
Try...
Renting a second floor apartment.
or making payments on a 1950s spec house that never had any work done to it outside of patches.
or ...hey man... just read this...

Your right, it is just that this plumber was being a dork all through the job and I was putting up with him. I thought I was done with him then this, it seems I will have to put up with him a little more.
Well, did you get the plumbing fiasco all ironed out so you can add the next circus of projects to the list? :o)
be rockin' and rollin' "Live Free, not Die"
There were eight leaks on the finished job, I spent the better part of a day fixing things. The one that really got me was the washer left out of the hand held shower on the Jacuzzi. I had to take it apart twice and put it back together before I found the problem. Both shut off valves on the wash tub, in the laundry room, leaked and had to be replaced and when I filled two of the three tubs to check the over flows they poured into the room below. I won't mention the kitchen sink and the one toilet that leaked at the supply tube. And to top it all off when I fired up the Jacuzzi the pump leaked, I called the rep, he is coming out tomorrow. New carpet wet, fans on, cut hole in wall to get at Jacuzzi pump.I phoned the plumber and told him not to come back on the job. It is too bad because in the past he was OK but he has taken on a new partner and too much work. I took back control of the project by telling him not to come back. But that was yesterday, nothing but good times today, +1c. sun shine, carpet guys did a great job, Remax is bringing buyers over, pea soup. cheese and french bread for supper, life is good.

It's my fault, I'm afraid. For once, I didn't have a hard day, and you musta been the one who kept the Universe in balance.
Hey David, me too! Today I cut out some bad sheetrock by a shower, replaced it, mudded with hot-mud, 3 coats, blow-dry between coats, textured from a spray can, replaced a rotted baseboard, primed and painted the wall (trip to the paint store with a piece of drywall and a piece of baseboard "can you match these colors?") and the baseboard (the patch came out awesome, you could NOT see where it was repaired once I painted it), removed a rotted formica counter in a patio, replaced it with a 2x6 redwood counter, primered and painted it, and moved the strike plate on two doors that wouldn't latch (one I mortised the hinge a little deeper to straighten it up a bit). Lotta hard work, man I was beat up at the end of the day.
My truck leaked oil on the driveway (I put a piece of cardboard down but the wind moved it) and I had to wipe it up as best as I could. And I mis-judged the cost of the materials - had a brain fart I guess, so I ended up wishing I'd put an extra $50 in the bid, but oh well, still did OK but man do you give a pound of flesh for a thin dollar! Then tonight I watched Extreme Home Makeover Family Reunion, and now my batteries are recharged and ready to go at it again tomorrow!
Tuesday here. It doesnt get any better either.
Ask me tomorrow what Wednesday gonna be like and I will give ya a heads up.

AJ-
Been doing any work on those thick particleboard houses over there of late?
be thick skinned"Live Free, not Die"
No, they were a sort of one off deal. I installed the kitchens in 2 of them.
Awful 'houses' anyway. I scored some window cutouts for workbenches at home which was a bonus. Other than that I dont want to have anything to do with them.
I like to work on real houses. Seems to be fewer and fewer of those being built anymore.

I had a rough day too.
Didnt get out to the cabin till 10 , er maybe it was 30ish,... Anyway, ate at 11 cuse I was hungry, I dunno. Listened to the peoples exchange over a sausage . There was a house for sale and it wrecked a good thing . It was 75 degrees to day , so I rode the four wheeler over to look and it was nothin. Stopped at a country store in the mountains and listened to this lady for a while about her problems.I finally had to tell her that I just needed to pay for 3.00 worth of gas. Headed back to the cabin and put up an antenna plus rotor. Well, its got these stick it numbers. I had to watch the tv and sanc all the channels with the rotor. It had been a tough day , so I made some coffee and relaxed for a spell on the deck lookin at the ciy from the mountain top. Was gettin a little nippy , so I said to heck with it and loaded up .
Theres always tomorrow.

WOW!!! What a Ride!
let me guess.
Arkansas
lakes with an emerald shine
a warm breeze hits you as you catch the afternoon sun reflecting off the light ripples
that third easy reel-in from the shore connects about 5 foot from the boat as he followed the lure all the way in debating
it's all open water so you let him run a while till you decide to play him in
first time coming back he suprises you as he breaks the surface straight up to his tail and twists around a bit before he dives back down
not a record fish but a goodsizer
largemouth can put up a fight when they want to
get him to the boat after he finally tires and he's a biggin
hooks out and he's back to the water
not a keeper
'cause tomorrow you're trollin' for stripers and you know you'll need all the space you can in the freezer.
what day is this again?
be a fish head

Yeah they still being built. Poxy things I reckon.
Power points are located close to openings and the floor, light switches are right by the door, all plumbing is on outside walls. All cos ya cant drill any distance into the stuff to run wire or pipe.
ICK!
Anyway, heres the website.
