I had a lot of 1″x2″ cedar to cut for lattice on a fence. It came bundled in stretch wrap. I squared one end, measured and marked the other end and cut a bunch exactly to the same length.
Setting fence posts or light posts I wrap the bottom 18″ or so and don’t have to worry about concrete splash.
I use the stuff often when organizing, cleaning, returning excess material.
It is also useful to bundle hardware that you take off and will later reinstall. The other day I removed an old wrought iron railing that I needed to keep the screws with. Screws went in a ziplock baggy (another “tool” I love) and then got wrapped to the railing.
I’ve also used it as a clamp on a 6″x6″ that had corner grain raising up.
A use I forgot. When I set a light pole recently I stretch wrapped a couple of 2″x4″s to the post to give me a place to attach bracing

I stretch my boss to his chair one time, he was bugging me.
ROFL! If you ever decide to give up the concrete gig...think about stand-up.

Mike,
I keep a roll in the truck. Beats twine from the lumber yard.
It works better than a nail or wire nut for caulk!
