…of a certain type –
I’m making wood framed interior screens for casement windows – I’d like hinges that are concealed, hold the screen shut, and detent at 45 and 90 degrees –
Jim Blodgett describes them here: 53734.74 , “Those are what folks around here call “Mico hinges”. They were commonly used on cabinet doors in the 50s before we all made the switch to European cup hinges. Mico is actually a brand name, but like “Kleenex” and “Skilsaw” that’s what everyone calls them. They are spring loaded with hold open stops at 45 and 90 degrees.”…
… but I’ve not had any luck finding such a thing with google – and frankly, the ones Jim used needed some modifications to fit, so I’m not wedded to a specific brand/style if there is something more elegant to do the job –
any help?
thanks –

they only have detents a 90° but you could file some if you really need 45º...

I havent bought them in a few years but I think I got mine directly from Youngsdale/Youngsville, cant remember for sure the exact name.
I know that I have several pairs of them sitting around because there was a price break at 25-50-100 pairs, somehow I remember ordering the extra cause I could have more left over for not much more money.
