There are a dozen different types of wallpaper and glue.
First off, if it's self-stick vinyl paper then water won't penetrate and the glue needs to be removed with paint remover.
If it's vinyl-coated paper you need to perforate the paper first so that water (or Dif) can soak through. There is a special tool (Google "paper tiger wallpaper") for doing this, containing spikey rollers.
I've found that a good old-fashioned steamer (or a lightweight "as seen on TV" version) works better than Dif for many types of glue.

Thanks Dan for yuor advice i will pass it on
Also, be aware that a lot of newer (past 20-30 years) wallpaper is "strippable", meaning that you can easily peel off the outer surface, leaving a thin, porous layer that is fairly easy to get off with Dif, et al.

Not the cheapest way, by usually skim wall with a thin layer of joint compoud, wait about .5 hrs., scrape. Works great.

Size
If the rock was not sized, which is primer for wall paper, it will be really hard to scrape off. You almost have to take off a layer of sheet rock paper with it.

Yeah, the worst is raw drywall with paper on top. Raw drywall with sizing is pretty good. The ideal is painted or primed and then sized.
