Anyone know if I can safely use salt or chemical ice-melter on Weatherbest decking? Will it harm the ACQ framing underneath? I’m thinking it could damage the hardware too?

Hey Brian,
Don't know about the ACQ, but salt couldn't be good for the hardware. This is from the Weatherbest site:
Gee.... the Weatherbest website.... who'da'thunk it?
(sheepish) Thanks man.
We all know how useful those snow shovels without the metal edge are.View Image
I hear you. Is the deck on a job or at your house?
Starting to snow here in Waltham.
Another MA guy, huh? Cool.
The one I'm actually asking about is one of the Weatherbest decks at my house. My wife stepped out onto the front porch this morning and took a ride down to the granite step via her azz. She's all right, but with my brain, I'm immediately thinking delivery people and liability. It just looked wet, but it was slick as can be.... the porch I mean.
Snowing here in Stow too. Where's this wind they're saying is gonna be blowing over my frame in Newton?View Image
New project for the "honeydew" list... radiant heat for under the deck !!! Could be an article in it <g> Buic
