Have you seen this brand of hammer? I’m looking for another. There is a magnet on the side of the head rather than the top. It has a milled face (very worn now).
Thanks in advance.
Peace,
Martin

Dude....lets not lie bro....you know its my hammer and you remember when we used it a frew years ago. that magnet is for the roach clip and I know you remember that.
Be hammered...lol

Whoa doode. You are so busted. Everybody knows roach clips were made out of copper tubing, much easier for hippies to work with<G>
And Sam T...Hart Trimmer with a serrated face? I think you know where Andy's roach clip is. HA ha ha pufff Don't worry, we can fix that later!
I have no idea, but from the looks I am wondering if that magnet is not one that is just supper glued in place and might not be original.
Nah Bill, it's original. Because of the magnet's location I can sweep up a dropped nail or slap plastic capped nails onto the roofing felt.
Sphere, it ain't yours. When it comes to tools dem is fightin words. ;-0

Haven't seen it; looks like a Hart California framer 21 or 25oz, perhaps modified by the owner to have a magnetic tip on the side (for driving nails in tight spots, but you knew that).
It sure resembles a Hart, but it's not the California Framer, I just campared it to mine, might be a sider or finisher, IIRC, the Hart Floorers had a flat on the top of the head.

I'm the original owner of this wonderful tool. I didn't modify it. I bought it at Junior's Tools (SoCal tool store bought out by ORCO) about 6 years ago.
I thought ProDek (?) might have one in his hammer collection.

I'm surprised Bob hasn't showed up here yet.
If anyone knows, he probably does.
I keep thinking that I wish I knew where to get a rare earth magnet about like that. Thinking that I would take the dremel to my current hammer, and make one of those nail thingy's on the top of the head.
You know, a trough for the nail to lay in, with the magnet at the bottom of it. And a place at the back of the trough to make a solid connection with the nail.
Yeah, yeah. I know. Just buy one with it already there.
I have a hammer. I have a dremel. I have all the bits I would need, to do the job. And the magnet and epoxy has got to cost less than a new hammer, no ?

Google is your friend.

Well, except for the part about tempting you to spend money you don't have. Who knew there was a market for disc magnets 1/16" in diameter by 1/32" thick?

Or spherical magnets? ("Poles on opposite sides." Duh!)

Anyway, lots of links. For once the sponsored links seem to be on target, and generally more readable than the non-sponsored links.
Very cool !
The D61 and D62 look the most promising.
And even if you add in the shipping, I can get ten of them for less than ten dollars.
I am bookmarking this one !
Thank you.

Steve,
I didn't find anything about magnets there.
Of course, I only spent 15 minutes searching there.

I'm out!
Bill,
I don't know if there are any in the everett washington area. But if they are there, that is the closest they would be.
And even that that is waaay too far to go for a couple magnets.
: )
Thanks anyway.

That's not a magnet...early type of security tag..have to deactivate at the check out.
Sorry to take so long chiming in..............
That hammer is a "Nail Blaster" made by Surestick hammers which went out of business about six years ago.
It has great balance and a sweet bang for a 21 oz.
I have a new one hanging on the wall but I'm sorry to say it's not for sale.
It's worth about $250. today..............

I knew you would know about this one. Heck, $250 huh? I could sell it and get a bunch of Stillettos.
Sorry to hear they went out of business. If anyone sees one sitting on a shelf let me know.
Thanks to all who responded.
