We have a 400 S.F. family room addition with a Cathedral ceiling and 3 exposed beams/collar ties. The rafters are 24″oc and have not been dry walled as of yet. Looking for some ideas on a tounge and Grove ceiling treatment. Our floors are red-Oak. Cedar and pine tend to look to “rustic”. Would like to either stain the material or paint it. I am concerned that paint will show cracks as the wood shrinks and expands through the year. 4×8 panelling could work, but I don’t like the idea of seeing the gaps between the sheets. Any Ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated.
