   Actually, I saw the drawing you posted. Looked like a CAD drawing.

   I had no problem opening it up. Were you talking about a different one?

   *When I tried to view it with Netscape 4.51 I just got garbage. But it opened right up in Internet Explorer (not sure which version).Rich Beckman

   Here's an outside guess. Your using NS to view the file. When you saved it, you really didn't include the extension jpg or gif. It's probably stored as a native bmp at the Taunton server. This is why NS can't read it and IE can. IE recognizes and processes bmp images, NS does not, without a plug-in that is.

   In a word. . . yes. Since I have no idea how or what program you used to save it to begin with. Try that and lets see what happens.

   I'm glad it worked and that I could help. To answer the question, yes, though it really does depend on the browser you're using. The safest thing is to always declare the file extension, that way the browser won't misinterpret the file.

   *Buz:Are you using a Mac? My brother has a mac and he often sends me stuff without extentions. Maybe Macs dont use extentions like PCs do?I've had to add my own extensions to files a couple of times to use them.
