I've heard good things about them, no personal use though, their new dado blade is supposed to be real good.
I thought I read where the guy that started Infinity came from Jesada.
You may try doing a search over at Knots, I remember reading some coments on them over there.
Doug
Thank You for the response. What is Knots?
Look in the header near top of your screen for the link to Knots, the forum connected to Fine Woodworking in the same way that BT is conneected to FHB. The knotheads tend to use more shop tools that we homebuilders and remodelors so they might have more info.I have never heard of infinity but I would probably steer clear for a couple years if what Doug said is true. There seems to be a family of makers all carrying on like a soapbox redneck marriage, with all its divorces and in-laws ...There was CMT, then Jesada, now Infinity, all making claim to the same quality, made variously in Italy, brazil, Florida, andf who knows where. The story was that several people had problems with orders and warrantee satisfaction with one company claoiming that the other was responsible for that particular item, bankruptcies, etc, etc, etc,It all reminded me of the way italian tile manufacturers used to be - maybe still are... The same plant would keep re-openning suddenly now owned by a different member of the same family and a new corporate structure, disavowing ealier claims against it and letting their bankruptcy couirtts decide who got satisfaction...
Welcome to the Taunton University of Knowledge FHB Campus at Breaktime. where ... Excellence is its own reward!
Yes. And they're pretty good. Long story short. Jesada spent a lot of effort on being good. Someone came along and said man, what a company, I think I'll buy it. And they bought it. And they said we can save a lot of bucks. And they axed everything Jesada had going for it, and ran it into the ground in short order. They folded. The son of the guy who started Jesada said "I can rebuild what used to be" - and there is Infinity. Lots of stuff will look the same. Profiles, blade geometry, etc. I've got lots of their router bits already and like. Actually like the new coating better than the old white Jesada.
Thank You,
Good to hear.
I contacted Pat Warner and asked for his opinion of the top router bit manufacturers.
Infinity made his top ten list.
