I had a roof built over my hot tub, and it was done too late in the season to paint or stain. Mold/mildew is starting to form on the roof substructure. I would like to kill or at least inhibit any more growth until late spring when I can stain it. I thought of just hitting it with some diluted Clorox once a month or so. Does that sound logical, or are there other ways?

Hydrogen Peroxide will work as well, and not smell as bad.
