I have a home that was built in 1993 and has what some refer to as T-111 or Innerseal siding. This siding is 1/2 thick, 8″ vertical grooves and comes in 4×8, or longer sheets. The exterior is pre-primed and the interior side is bare OSB. I heard that there has been a problem with certain manufactures on the reliability of this product. My problem is the siding is swelling near the areas of the Z-flashing where sheets butt against each other. Everything is caulked and the siding has been painted twice during it’s 7 year life.
I was informed that Louisiana Pacific has a identification mark stamped on the siding with the woodgrain textured surface. I attempted to locate a manufacturer label on the interior side of the siding by going in my attic, I was unable to locate a stamp or label.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

The L-P lap siding had a distinctive "knot" as part of the gain pattern, and I think I've seen that on their panel product as well.
I _think_ I've seen an image of that know on the web, perhaps at the L-P website (I don't have a URL.)
So far as I know, all of the pressboard/osb siding manufacturers have had problems, and their have been at least 2 class action lawsuits, one against L-P and one against (I think) Mansfield.
The swellings on the bottom of the top panels, right? Check the bottoms of the lower panels, as well.
BTW, this stuff isn't T1-11. T1-11 is a plywood siding supposed to look kind of like reverse board and batten, Innerseal is supposed to look kind of like T1-11!
