Exterior trim was primed with Interior primer, and a cheap one at that.
Another guy at work primed the trim, Brickmold, sill, and mullins, before putting it up.
I showed up to paint today and painted the trim around 4 windows before going in the garage to get the primer and finding it was interior..
Primer was on for a week and appeared to be in good shape.
Latex Primer with a Sherwin Williams A-100 paint..
Will this cause the paint to fail prematurely, If it will, what can I do about the windows already painted?
What should I do with the rest of the trim that is already primed but not yet painted?
How much will I not like what I am about to hear?

It'll probably all last at least 85 days, and then you and your degree will be traveling down the road to greener pastures?

neif <G>, I'd be more worried about 'cheap' than 'interior' - - my understanding, which could be wrong, is that exterior paints are not fundamentally different than interior paints but contain fungicides and mildewcides that one would prefer not to have little kids lick off the wall - -
don't really see where you have much choice, perhaps recount the situation on the bill and note that it voids the warrenty? - -
Well I called Williams today, they called tech line and..
The windows that are already top coated are, SOL, an extra coat and a prayer, but the guy thinks chances are it will be fine, if not, I guess the boss can deal with it then...
The un-painted just re-prime which is now done and that should be a.o.k.
I got the same answer from our real painter when I called and asked for his advice.
as for the void on the warranty, Not quite sure the customer is going to go for that, the screw up was in-house.
sh!T happens, boss took it well.
I keep trying to tell them I'm not a painter, but they just won't listen.
