Installing bullnose for hardwood floor

I intend to install a hardwood floor with a matching bullnose that overhangs the top riser on the stairs. The overhanging front edge of the bullnose will often have to support the weight of people climbing the stairs. How do I securely anchor the bullnose to prevent it from eventually twisting down over the riser?
