Installing faucet with angled deck mount

Our kitchen has a nice old steel sink that has an unusual ANGLED deck mounting for the faucet. Any ideas on how to install a new kitchen faucet? The current interesting, but worn out “American Kitchens” faucet is made to fit the angled 3-hole sink that has a 4 inch spread. Our plumber is hesitant to install a wall mounted kitchen faucet because such faucets tend to freeze up during our chilly Massachusetts winters. Thanks for your help!

If the cost isn't too big a factor, see if you can get a local machine shop to machine a "washer" out of SS to make things fit.
Another cheaper way to do it is to get some Fimo "clay" and mold the "washer" you need, then fire the thing in your oven. (Fimo is a thermosetting plastic material sold at craft stores for use in making jewelry. Dimensionally very stable as it's fired.)
Or make something out of a piece of acrylic sheet, grinding it to fit.
All this assumes that the angle isn't so severe as to prevent the threads on the new faucet from reaching, after the "washer" is in place.
DanH - Thank you for your suggestions. I will bring all of your suggestions to my plumber. I am hoping that Internet brainstorming and our capable plumber can work something out as we dislike the thought of replacing an otherwise nice and functional sink.
Your special "washer" idea prompted me to think of trying to re-use a portion of the old faucet to better seat a new faucet. The part I have in mind to re-use is a chromed steel cover that the faucet spout screws into. This cover has the same bulky look as the currently available Delta model 200 kitchen faucet. Delta names its chrome cover an escutcheon. Anyway, I am not sure that a wedge shaped washer will entirely fix my problem since the angle is pretty steep about 30 to 40 degrees.
