installing sub-floor on to concrete slab

In a previous post I sought input on removal and re-use of an existing hardwood floor that is attached to a concrete slab of our house here in Atlanta. I’m now going forward with tearing out the existing hardwood floor and its sub-flooring.
My questions are:
When I install new sub-flooring on to the concrete slab, what is the recomended method of attaching the sub-floor to the concrete?
To attach the sub-floor to the concrete, should I use the the powder actuated fasteners (like the Hilti fasteners) or tap-con screw connectors or…..? I’d like to use the powder actuated for speed of installation.
What is the recommended spacing of such fastners?
I’m going to make sure that I put down a 6mil vapor barrier before I install the new floor and have even considered putting down a coat of moisture resistant paint before I lay the vapor barrier down.
What other “watch-outs” can you all offer relative to this installation? Thanks,
Peter

Is the slab flat enough that you can simply lay the ply on the concrete? I wonder if you might need to shim some areas. The ramset/hilti tool will work great.
What's the point of a vapor barrier if your are going to shoot holes in it? And chances are the flooring nails will poke through too. You might consider a layer of self-sealing ice & water shield applied to the concrete if tyou wanrt to create a vapor barrier.
